lWhere’s my Glasses?…

Aging in this Body and Mind has taken its Toll on Me in numerous ways. I feel somewhat robbed, not only by the Fragmented Memories caused by my Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), but also by those Memories that have faded due to the natural process of Aging. It is tough to admit how Challenging this Journey has been, but even so, I can say that it has all been worth it. Therapy, in particular, has been the Cornerstone in my Life, providing me with the Support and Tools I needed to navigate these Complex Experiences. Through therapy, I have found a sense of Understanding, Acceptance, and a way to piece together the Fragmented parts of my existence, making my Journey a more Coherent and Meaningful one.

Having only known this Existence, it is hard to imagine Life any different. The Endless Times of Dissociation have brought to me Clever Skills that, on the surface, make me Appear to have it together. However, behind the Scenes, there is plenty of Mental Gymnastics to Disguise the Others and avoid conversations around lost Memories. These skills, while useful, often come at the cost of my own Mental Peace, creating an Intricate Web of Thoughts and Emotions that I must Navigate Daily.

Since starting specialized DID Therapy five years ago, I have made Tremendous Strides in my Recovery. Although I did not Expect things to unfold this way, the Journey has been both Surprising and Rewarding. The Therapy has provided me with Tools and Strategies to manage my condition better, helping me to Reclaim aspects of my Life that I thought were Lost Forever. I have been given back a Life, albeit a bit Frayed around the Edges, but I never expected to reach this level of Recovery in the manner it has unfolded. The Progress I have made has been a Testament to the Power of Perseverance and the effectiveness of Specialized Therapeutic Interventions.

When Martin Snr has Executive Control I can detect all those little foibles that you see in most Aged People.

<aside> 📌 I have now reached Senior Status and feel a bit Robbed on the One Hand and yet Enriched on the Other due to Leading such a "Diverse" Life. On the Negative Side, I feel as though certain Opportunities and Experiences may have been Taken from Me. However, on the Positive Side, I also feel Immensely Enriched and Fulfilled because of the Variety of Experiences and Varied Paths I have Encountered and Embraced throughout my Life. This Duality of feeling both Deprived and Blessed is a Testament to the Complex and Multifaceted Nature of my Journey.
